Moragas y Torras painted primarily figures, portraits and landscapes. He spent a number of years studying in Rome where he developed his detailed, classical style of painting. While in Rome, he spent much time with his friend and famed painter Mariano Fortuny y Marsal (1838-1874). Moragas y Torras is best known for his watercolors, which he executed with remarkable precision and command of the medium. Recorded: Benezit, Emmanuel.
