Clesse, born in Brussels at the turn-of-century, painted landscapes, still-lifes, and port scenes. After studying at the Brussels Academy, he worked in the studio of the painter Hermanus. Clesse exhibited in the Belgian and foreign Salons from 1907 on. He also put on several personal exhibitions. ERROR MSGThe forests of Brussels, the coast of Belgium, and the north of France were among his favorite subjects.
