FAA Part 61 requires a minimum of 40 hours totaltime for a private pilot rating. Most applicants need between 40 and 50 hours to preparefor the private pilot checkride. The total price quoted includes books, ground school,dual instruction, and solo flight time. Prepayment of tuition is required for discountedrate. We are also an FAA Approved Part 141 flight school.

Pilots desiring tobuild Cross-Country Time for further advanced ratings may purchase Block Time at a 10%discount to our regular rate. Regular Rate is $50. If you purchase 10 hours, the ratedrops to $45 per hour. Stratos Aviation operates one Cessna 150 (PicturedEarlier), One Piper Warrior II (N6147H), Piper Archer II (N722TC), Piper ArrowIV (N83685), and the Piper Turbo Arrow III. We have some of the most affordable instrumenttraining airplanes on the South Plains. All aircraft are equipped with King Radios andPanel Mounted Intercoms. So, bring your headsets!! If you need headsets, thePilot's General Store has a variety to choose from for your safety and communicationenhancement.
We are a Lasergradewritten test facility. We can administer your FAA written test according to yourschedule. Call for your appointment.
ERROR MSGPILOTSERVICES
We provide our services to train you in your aircraft or fly foryou. We can assist you in ferrying your aircraft to or from your destinationaccording to your schedules. Call us for scheduling or further details orarrangements.
