          A painter of the Belgian school, Fievez was a painter of landscapes and still lifes.  He attended the Academy of Brussels from 1900, and studied there under the masters C. Montald and M. Taelemans.  Working for most of his life in Brussels, Fievez remained true to the Belgian tradition in his art.  His still lifes are wonderfully done, accurately depicting the surface textures of the objects and their forms.
